Annotation. Paremiological fund of German folk pedagogy is researched in the article. Analyzed proverbs reflect the objectives, content, methods of national education, traditional values and beliefs. Sentences about the importance of family education, the necessity to build schools, principle of conformity with nature are proved by the modern pedagogy. Their potential for harmonization of interethnic communication is revealed.
